CHARLES DICKENS 200TH BIRTHDAY LUNCHEON

Come and join us to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens birthday!
We are offering, in conjunction with the Charles Dickens in Teesdale Group, a special Victorian two course luncheon at a cost of only £15.00 per person.
The price of your ticket also includes an hour and a half tour of the village with local historian, Cliff Brown. He will guide you through the history of the village and point out the special buildings in Bowes, associated with Dickens and his famous novel, Nicholas Nickleby.
Later, after lunch, there will be a film on the life and times of Dickens in the Village Hall.
Our menu is as follows:
Cream of onion soup
Slow baked Ham with parsley sauce, homemade Pease Pudding and braised red cabbage.
Lemon and Ginger Syllabub
Choose either a starter and a main course or a main course and dessert for only £15.00.
